International Springs Ltd. Products

Disc springs

Disc Springs are conically formed angular Discs, which are loaded in the axial direction. Disc Springs offer a well-developed solution to many engineering problems. Through a unique combination of high force in a small space, Disc Springs can be used as single disc or arranged in stacks. A spring stack can consist of either single spring or parallel spring sets. Disc Springs are available with or without contact flats. Disc Springs are manufactured to DIN 2093. We can assist you with designing to meet your specified applications. Disc Springs are mostly manufactured from AISI 6150 material. Other materials are also available on request.

Belleville Washers

International Springs Ltd. carries Belleville washer in imperial as well as metric sizes. Belleville washers also called conical spring washers are manufactured as per DIN 6796 and are designed specifically for Heavy Duty Bolted section such as Bus Bars, Transformers, Rectifiers, Heat Exchangers, Transmission, etc. These washers are intended to counteract the effect of setting which results in bolt/nut assemblies working loose. They do not effectively prevent loosening of the assembly under varying radial load and are designed for use with short bolts predominantly subject to thrust.

Ball Bearing Washers

Ball-Bearing washers are used with radial Ball bearings to minimize vibration and shaft deflection. Proper preloading will increase bearing rigidity and eliminate excessive wear & tear and running noise.

Advantages of Ball Bearing Washers:

  • Significant increase or decrease in applied force even with small variation in deflection.
  • Backlash compensation & regressive curves help reduce preload variations changes.
  • Very low force characteristics with very large deflection range.
  • Multiplication of force by stacking of two or more washers in parallel.
  • Available in all standard Ball bearing sizes.
  • Elimination of noise and play in Ball Bearings.
  • Round shape ensures equal distribution of load around the bearing ring.

Wave Spring Washers

D&B carries all types of wave spring washers as per DIN 137 & DIN 6904. These Wave washers are made from prime quality spring steel, stainless steel, copper and other material which are readily available in very standard sizes. Wave washers are wavy metal washers designed to offer a compensating spring force and maintain a load or take up shock. These are the disc of irregular shape formed in such a way that when loaded it deflects, acts like a spring, and provides a preload between two surfaces. Wave washers are very useful for limited radial space and moderate thrust load e.g. axial loading of Ball bearing.

Serrated Washers (Rib)

Serrated Washers are Disc Springs with Trapezoidal Cross Section on both sides for gripping. Serrated safety washers are ready to fit washers to sustain preload and avoid loosening. As the bolt is tightened the serrations crunch into the mating faces and prevents the screw from loosening up due to vibration. Also, the disc shape holds the necessary tension. They are available in various sizes to fit bolts or screws. The diameters for Serrated Washers are matched to screw dimensions. The outer diameter of washer is matched to the head diameter of screw head. This allows using screw and bolt including recessed heads.

LockRite Washers

LockRite Washers are used in Pairs. Both Washers have Radial Teeth and are assembled opposite to each other. Lock Rite Washers can be used with Bolts and Threaded Holes. When using with bolts and nuts one pair should be used on either side. Lock Rite Washers eliminate the use of Adhesive for Locking as it automatically secures the joints.

LockRite Washers are widely used in various industries such as Construction, Automotive, Mining, Oil & Natural Gas and Power Plants.

Curved Washers

In today's' world of miniaturization and smaller component design Curved Washers play a very vital role.

Curved Washers have distinct advantages over conventional wire springs where weight and space is concerned.

Characteristics of Curved Washers

  • Two point contact with high expansion under load
  • Higher deflection compared to other washers
  • Near to linear spring constant
  • Lighter loads characteristics
  • Readily available size in stock

  • Fasteners
  • Absorbing Vibrations
  • Compensating for temperature changes
  • Eliminating side & end play
  • Controlling end pressure
